Okay okay, most kids are happier in the morning, but man, if you can swing a late in the day session…so much magic to be found. It also doesn’t hurt to shoot in a place like Red Hook, which is bursting with interesting locations. And I’ve said it before, but the real key to it all…the number one thing that adds that extra little something…embracing the idea of PLAY.
Brooklyn has a lot to offer as a back drop for photos - pretty brownstone streets, sweeping skyline and bridge views, lush parks, but inside the walls you call home, it’s also Brooklyn, and it’s totally yours.
I met this family a few years back when they were first living in this quintessential Brooklyn brownstone neighborhood. Three moves later they are back taking in a hot summer evening in the place they call home, again.
Some old friends and some new friends. Thanks again to all the families who joined me for this spring’s mini sessions! And thank you to the weather gods for such beautiful sunny days. I’ll be announcing fall mini sessions dates in early August. Look out for the email and sign up here if you’re not already on the list: http://www.raquelfrechette.com/emailsubscribe
Oh Gowanus, how do I love thee. And how much do I love the families who eschew the broken glass and random city detritus to romp with me in this little corner of photography paradise.
