Have you been to Pier 3 in Brooklyn Bridge Park? Even during pre-leafy days, it’s a beautiful spot, with lots of fun , interactive structures that are perfect for climbing, exploring and general all around kid-ing. Not to mention - there’s a great view of the skyline.
The turning leaves are late to arrive here in Brooklyn. Comparing with sessions I did at this time last year you’d think November would still be several weeks away. But aside from the obvious signals nature provides, there’s a mood that comes with fall that I love. A coziness, a warmth that is reinforced by sweaters and scarves but is rooted in family hugs and laughter.
I love the almost about to rain days. Some of the most magical light can only be found under these conditions. The fact that it's something that can't be controlled makes it all the more special. This is what photographers geek out about.
