We waited a long time for fall colors to hit New York City this year. Warmer temperatures kept the trees green longer than usual, which is a mixed blessing for photo shoots. The good news is that regardless of the backdrop nature provides, what's in the foreground always steals the show. We managed to find a few colorful trees along this stretch in Riverside Drive.

I had never been to this spot in NYC. Do you recognize it? Excited to check out the area again in the spring - there's a park with cherry blossom trees across the way.

Last year, we also spent some time around Riverside Park. Back then the party was a bit smaller. Good thing this one showed up in time for round two!
Lucy kid? Lucky parents?
Every so often you meet a kid and start to project what you think they might do as adults. If this little guy isn't somehow working in a capacity to make everyone around him beam giant smiles, I'd be surprised. The whole family has a very special quality that made the couple hours I spent with them fly by. So wonderfully awesome.
