Daring Duo

According to these two, a good time is marked by the number of things that can be stepped off and climbed on. A beautiful spot to welcome spring.

Cousins in the NYC Woods

First we searched for Christopher Robin and Tigger. Then gathered sticks for our make believe campfire. We ran on bridges and under tunnels and climbed giant boulders. I'm always struck by Central Park.  Even though it's surrounded by a city of 8 million, it's still possible to find secret corners and uninterrupted views. A paradise if there ever was one for a curious pair.

Playing Red Hooky

The sun begins to set. I could be home washing dishes or putting my own kid to bed. But instead, I head out to the edge of Brooklyn to run around the warehouse and graffiti lined streets with this little sass-ma-frass. Who, of course, takes to her surroundings with stylish verve. Love working with you, doll. Let's do lunch.

Concrete Lot Turned Playground

They make my job easier, these little people, who you can plop down on an expanse of gray enclosed by bricks and still make their day. It's one of the things I love about kids, they can find something fun and interesting in almost any environment. Throw in some playful parents and it's a great day in Dumbo.
