We did something similar in this part of the city years ago. Back then he was a wee one and she was a year from a twinkle. The parents….just as fun….

For my latest adventure in trying new things, I've been incorporating different lenses and techniques to create images that have a bit of an unexpected feel to them. There's never enough time for personal projects, and I could have spent all day taking these photos in the timelessly beautiful West Village. See if you can spot the effects in some of these (hint - involved a lens baby, a prism, and double exposures). And thank you to my patient and beautiful subjects :). I'm home visiting my parents this weekend and inevitably the photo albums will come out. My daughter loves pouring over the early days. Mom's first room, mom's first Halloween, mom's first birthday. We think about capturing photos of our children so we'll remember them as they once were. The bonus - your kids will look back at these photos to remember too. And one day, they might show them to their own kids. Pretty cool.
