Look at Me I'm Three!

This past weekend I spent the afternoon chasing a band of rascals around the Little Gym in Brooklyn, all in honor of this little lady's birthday. You may recognize her as one of the costumed kids from a Halloween Party featured here a few months ago. When not fighting crime, this superhero enjoys bubbles, balance beams, and finishing off the day with a race car themed cake. She's kind of my idol.

Beware! Costumed Cuteness!

Amongst the trick or treating, parades and other adventures brought about by Halloween, I was lucky to spend part of the spooky holiday hanging out with some well dressed kids at the Families First annual Halloween party. It was a great event, complete with storytelling, music and crafts galore. Hats off to all the volunteers who brought smiles to a dozen princesses, as many superheroes and an entire zoo of animals.

Bubbles = Age two Hit

I love a good DIY birthday party. I love the crafts and the themes and the creativity. But if planning and time are not in the cards, it can be surprisingly easy to create a good time. Step 1 - show up at a park. Step 2 - distribute bottles of soapy water. And maybe a juice box or two.
