Celebrating the first year of a tot's life is really for the parents, or so they say. Our friend here had other plans for his big day. With an explosion of color, games, toys and music, the guests under three feet high were definitely leading in the "having a ridiculously good time" category. My favorite moment: when the birthday boy decide to take over from the party guitarist and show him a thing or two.
Sharing a birthday with America
What happens when your birthday falls on the 4th of July? A party filled with Red, White and Blue! This happy one year old probably didn't stay up to watch the fireworks, but who cares when you get to celebrate with tasty treats and tumbling. Tasty treats + tumbling = better than fireworks. Obviously.
Not your everyday family reunion
It was the first time they met. Six families who had kids with the help of the same donor, came to NYC to bring these half brothers and sisters together. I overheard the parents talk about same noses and smiles. The expressions, the gestures, the way they moved. It was super cool. The best part was watching these former strangers take to each other like this outing had been one of many. Kids are pretty awesome that way.
Carousel and Sundae Party - YES!
Who doesn't love Jane's Carousel in Dumbo. For this lucky birthday girl, Mom and Dad decided to throw a party with free rides and ice cream for all the guests. Check out this beautiful spread! See more details from the creative mom herself over at Fork and Pencil.
Mother's Day at New York Kids Club
Every year, the fine folks at New York Kids Club throw a party to celebrate the important ladies in our lives. What better way to spend the day revelling in all the mom love than to capture it photobooth style with goofballs, hams and downright adorable kids.
