Have young kids in Brooklyn? Have you checked out the gardens at Pratt? Such a fun little oasis for exploring, and if they happen to be watering the plants, sprinklers!

A planned winter session in March faced scheduling obstacle after scheduling obstacle but finally came to be on a nearly rained out spring day. We did a quick dash through the Museum of Natural History and then headed out to some open green space for prime toddler romping. Two minutes later - a huge downpour! The trials and tribulations of outdoor NYC family photography in spring.
One month + two years | brooklyn newborn photographer
A blizzard is coming to the northeast tomorrow. I always think of the babies that are about to be born. How worried their parents must be right now. What if the streets aren't plowed? Will they be able to get to the hospital in time? And for the parents of newborns already here. Looking out the windows at the snowy city. Is home quiet and cozy? Or is it mayhem because the toddler who might normally be at school is making unreasonable demands, while the baby refuses to fall asleep. Good luck everyone!
Early days with two | nyc newborn photographer
Time spent outside of the city with one of my favorite families. I love this session because it depicts what it's like to have a toddler and a newborn at the same time. While one parent tends to the baby, swaddling and hopefully settling her into sleep, the other is running wildly after the big brother who cannot possible stay in one spot for more than a few seconds. Oh and thank goodness for grandparents!
Cold snap | brooklyn family photographer
We had been fortunate this fall with weekends of warm, pleasant days. Then this Sunday happened, and it got really cold, really quickly. Out came the warmer coats and the red noses and a family undeterred by a drop in temperature.
