Twenty or so minutes of running around my favorite neighborhood yields something like this. Also - New Year’s resolution - keep up with blog posts - these were from September ;).
Experimenting | greenpoint brooklyn family photographer
In 2018, I started tinkering with how I took photos. I experimented with different lenses and ways to manipulate an image while shooting. I wanted to try this during a family session with a toddler to see just how that might go. In this session, I primarily used a 24mm and an 85mm lens. I explored things like double exposures, shooting with prisms, twinkle lights and plastic bags. I also played with motion blur and focus. These three were troopers as they patiently waited for me to try, screw up and try again. I wish I had more time. I hope to do more of this in 2020.
A move to the 'burbs | brooklyn family photographer
Every once in a while I find myself away from Brooklyn, photographing a family that traded life in the city for more space, more green…a different kind of life.

Gowanus Mini Sessions | brooklyn family photographer
Oh Gowanus, how do I love thee. And how much do I love the families who eschew the broken glass and random city detritus to romp with me in this little corner of photography paradise.
