Was it Paris where leaving locks first became a thing? Glad to see the tradition still going strong in Brooklyn. Our first stop on a gorgeous morning in Brooklyn Heights.
A new classic | brooklyn newborn photographer
A newborn session outside? When your first home is in Dumbo, heck yeah! In addition to small hands and early days, capturing the streets, bridges, and cobblestones of this scenic neighborhood were a big part of the wish-list. When bedtime is all the time, newborns are happy to comply with late summer evening strolls - some of the most beautiful light to be found. Hoping to get outside with more wee ones this year.
This is where we live | brooklyn family photographer
I love sessions like these. We start off with a rough plan and inevitably veer off course, meeting canine neighbors, playing with toothbrushes, finding unexpected moments that perfectly encapsulate what life is like right now.

Have you seen these owls? I've passed them many times on my way to other spots in Dumbo but I never thought to work these in. Yay awesome client requests!
Greenpoint, I'm a fan | brooklyn family photographer
After living in NYC for 10 years I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that I've never been to this part of the city. One of the benefits I've come to appreciate about taking photos of New York families is that I find myself in neighborhoods I might never have seen otherwise. This is a cool little section of Greenpoint. Transmitter Park has piers that take you out over the river for some expansive Manhattan views. The blocks surrounding are filled with street art and textural, industrial scapes. And there's a great bookstore with good finds for little ones. I might want to move here.
