A blizzard is coming to the northeast tomorrow. I always think of the babies that are about to be born. How worried their parents must be right now. What if the streets aren't plowed? Will they be able to get to the hospital in time? And for the parents of newborns already here. Looking out the windows at the snowy city. Is home quiet and cozy? Or is it mayhem because the toddler who might normally be at school is making unreasonable demands, while the baby refuses to fall asleep. Good luck everyone!
Enter sister | brooklyn newborn photographer
To all the kids that have had their worlds recently upended with the introduction of a new little brother or sister, I salute you. Even though you have given up the undivided attention of your parents, exclusive access to all the toys and snacks, and often your very own room, you somehow manage to fall in love with the little invader. And make all our hearts turn into a pile of goo.
The calm before... | brooklyn family photographer
For this guy, the world is about to look mighty different in a few weeks. With a new little one on the way, it won't be long before those awesome lego creations are a pile of pieces destroyed by the new kid. Mom and dad had the presence of mind to capture life and the blissful ignorance of the soon to be older brother.
This unseasonably warm winter | brooklyn newborn photographer
What to make of this weather? January in NYC is usually cold. Too cold to do a session like this. But there we were, enjoying a balmy neighborhood stroll with a new tiny one. I've said it before - I love going outside with newborns.
Early days with two | nyc newborn photographer
Time spent outside of the city with one of my favorite families. I love this session because it depicts what it's like to have a toddler and a newborn at the same time. While one parent tends to the baby, swaddling and hopefully settling her into sleep, the other is running wildly after the big brother who cannot possible stay in one spot for more than a few seconds. Oh and thank goodness for grandparents!
